Most of the people usually have the same old excuses when it comes to lawn mowing. However, if you really want to perk up the untidy lawn space in front your house, then all you have to do is restore your old laid apart lawnmower into a solar powered device.

It would not only restore the adjacent area by helping you in maintaining the lawn but it would also support the green drive as you use the natural solar energy in order to power the environmental friendly device. After you have done a small modification, your next task would be to get ready a solar charging or panel station that would act as the power source and keep the mower working.

Although the solar panel would take nearly 40 hours to charge the revitalized mower totally, less charging would also work to maintain the working process of the low frequency device. In addition to this the new green lawnmower would not cost you more than $699 which includes the motor, battery and the solar panel rather than using the old mower. Therefore with the invigorated eco friendly solar charging model, you would have no excuse for not giving a good look to the ambience of your home.

Solar umbrella house

The solar umbrella house has been designed by Lawrence Scarpa and Angela Brooks. These are associated with the Pugh + Scarpa, which is a Santa Monica based firm. It appears that the name is derived from Umbrella House in Sarasota, Florida which is related to Paul Rudolph’s mid-20th century concept. The design of Rudolph had a huge wooden trellis above the house and this is extended over the outdoor terrace and swimming pool. This concept of trellis has been removed. The house is a simple glass and steel box. There is a double height living space. Due to this it has been labeled by the Architectural digest as one of the five most remarkable homes of the 20th century. This design is totally dependent on the umbrella.

As per its name, the Solar Umbrella House takes the concept of the trellis to the next level. This is done by the incorporation of solar technology. The secondary aim is to protect the house from direct sunlight. The main aim is to decrease the dependence and drain on the local electrical grid and at the maximum cause the residence to be completely energy neutral. The solar umbrella collects and stores the lovely sunbeams on the panels that are located on the top. With the onset of dusk, this energy gets transformed to light. The small LEDs on the spokes of the umbrella get lighted. This light is just sufficient for some essential activities like opening a bottle of wine. This is a novel method of converting solar energy to light energy.
